So, I told all of you that I was planning a total redo on my kid’s bedrooms and though that has not happened quite yet, I did organize and clean out their rooms yesterday. That alone feels amazing! A few things will need our attention SOON. I noticed that my son’s walls are trashed, badly trashed. We used a flat paint (what were we thinking??) and there are a multitude of scuffs and marks all over. Eden’s walls are also in need of help. She took it upon herself to decorate the walls with My Little Pony stickers. When I removed them yesterday, half the paint came off too. Ug.
Our plan is paint both rooms, purchase or make bunk beds for Ethan, new chandelier for Eden, paint Eden’s headboard a bright color, new bedding for both and so on and so forth. Do any of you know of stylish and affordable bunk beds? My husband is tempted to make them but if we can buy them already made, so much better!

I was browsing Holly’s Interior Styling group on Flickr and came across so many inspiring spaces. It seems like people are stepping out of the design box more and more. I love finding spaces that don’t look like 100 other spaces. Below are a few images that make me want to stop everything that I am doing and go style something.
Nautical meets old world meets vintage meets classic.
This is why I have been a little side tracked this last week. Two of the cutest human beings were birthed into the world. My heart is bursting for my new nephews!
(The outfits are courtesy of their favorite auntie…wink wink.)
1. A light and airy entryway.
2. Statement lighting.
3. Can I have this in my house?
Favorite feature in the room? Least favorite?

Have I ever introduced you to my lovely sponsor, Hijirik?? She is so talented and her products are fantastic! This is my latest purchase. I need to frame it soon.
In the cases of these bedrooms, simple is better. I love the clean lines and minimal decor. The colors are soothing, especially against all of the wood. Pure beauty!

Stripes…..you still like??
Hey hey!!!! I am so late posting because I have been without wifi for a couple days. I might be a bit choppy for the next few days so bear with me. Um, are you so thrilled that Emily won Design Star??? Did you watch it? What do you think? I think that she is going to bring such goodness to the table at HGTV. Her show starts this next Sunday at 7 and 10pm.
I am headed to Seattle today. My sister in law had TWINS!! Regan and Eljin were born yesterday and they are already going to take over the world! This brings my niece/nephew count (on both sides) to 9! And I adore them all.
See you all soon!!! xx

I love when bloggers/designers work on projects in their own personal homes. Here are two projects that are turning out to be quite fabulous!
