My family and I had a blast last week in California.  We spent Thanksgiving with my mom, brother and nieces & nephews.  I also spent time with good friends, doctors (Ethan got sick and we found ourselves at the docs for most of last Monday) and Mickey Mouse.  All in all, my family knows how to party!

Ford Lininger is having an open house tomorrow, Thursday December 1st, to showcase the arrival of European vintage furniture and lighting, featuring pieces from Gio Ponti, Carlo di Carli, Osvaldo Borsani, Tobia and Afra Scarpa and more.  From the looks of these pictures, they have created pure magic!

Hey lovely people!!  I hope you all had a great week last week and a great holiday.  I’m currently in bed with a nasty cold.  One thing that I’m indulging on while getting better is online holiday inspiration.  I already mentioned Anthology Online Holiday Issue so let let me tell you again, it’s an inspiration must!

The colors of these danish classics are unbeatable.  Which is your favorite?  I would have to go with Mr. Marigold!

There is something so beautiful and enchanting about this wallpaper.  The colors look spectacular against this masculine type backdrop.

I am blogging on a Sunday, which I never do, because last week got so crazy busy that I forgot to shout out a few things.

First thing:  THANK YOU Refinery 29 for including Simply Grove among some amazing blogs in your feature, The Best Home Decor Blogs To Bookmark Now.  I absolutely adore Refinery 29 and this was a huge honor, so thanks again!!  Check it out here.

Second thing:  The Simply Grove Bundle is available for 6 more days!!  So, if you are in the need of some fantastic office supplies or a great gift idea, check it out over at Poppin!

My family and I are heading to California today to be with some of my family for Thanksgiving.  So if I seem a little sporadic this week, you know why.  We may or may not be surprising the kids with a little Disneyland visit.  (Don’t tell them!!)

See you soon!!

This past Wednesday, I attended an idi luncheon where there was a Danish Modern furniture Presentation by Janet Webb from Coalesse.  For an hour I was in pure Danish modernism HEAVEN!  It reminded me of why I fell in love with design.  Designers like Hans Wegner and Finn Juhl thought outside the box and began a furniture revolution.  I feel so inspired and passionate when I read their stories and learn of their love for what they did.  It challenges me to step over design boundaries and to follow my gut.

Don’t pretend like it’s not coming folks.  Christmas is on it’s way and I am here to bring some inspiration.  How lovely is this Modern home?  Colors are displayed, lights are twinkling and quirky elements are being shown off.  Love.

I really love using red when I decorate but I only do it in spurts.  Whether it’s just one accessories, a blanket or art.  Red looks great mixed with neutral tones.  My favorite is using it in a white space.  The bottom 2 images are from a Stockholm home.  You can tell that they have a thing for red, and they use it so well.
