I’m cutting out a little early today. Lot’s of projects in front of me that I’ve got to focus on and finish. I hope that you have the best weekend!!!! xxoo
Btw, the above image is an office/studio that I’ve been decorating and styling. I can’t wait to show you the entire room!
With Easter being only 11 days away, I’m starting to brainstorm how to make my home a little bit springy and a little bit festive for this holiday. Above are some fun ideas from Bolig Liv. Here are my own ideas taken from the images.
– Create an Easter card collage on a blank wall using Washi tap.
– Display Easter candy in an assortment of colorful bowls, grouped together.
– Design an Easter vignette by finding vintage Easter decor, flowers and ceramics. Display the vignette on a table, mantle, countertop or any other flat surface.
– Decoupage plastic eggs in a variety of different patterned paper.
– Display quirky bunnies around the house.
This is a holiday that kids and adults alike are begging for color and excitement so we might as well have a little fun with it! Don’t you think??
This space feels layed back and comfortable. The neutral colors and textures combined all work well together. Since it was designed by a designer, little details haven’t been ignored. Gotta love that!

Today’s They’ve Got Style is with Eden and her cousin Kenzie, who happens to be the inspiration behind Kenziepoo. These two girls adore each other… most of the time. Oh sisterly love!
In this image, Kenzie is wearing a Let Them Eat Cake jacket and Eden is wearing a Jumina shirt.
This AJ Wall Sconce by Louis Poulsen is the perfect reading-bedside light. “The angle of the shade and rotation can be adjusted to optimize light distribution. The shade is painted white on the inside to ensure a soft comfortable light.” Now I just need a bigger budget to buy this beauty!
Sold at 2Modern.
Another gorgeous example of the perfect palette. This week it’s spring inspired.
I’ve been feeling quite springy so I chose some color palettes that have a bit of pop to them.- Cassie

I am excited to share with you a fantastic book from Chronicle Books, “Mastering the Art of Fabric Printing and Design” by Laurie Wisbrun, which was included in my giveaway yesterday. This book has been on a 2 week blog tour and it ends here today on Simply Grove.
Included in this book is step by step tutorials for designing patterns (which I always have hundreds of ideas floating through my brain) using both Photoshop and Illustrator, a section on printing techniques as well as tips for developing your collection and bringing it to the marketplace. Also you will find tips, interviews and tutorials from other designers like Jesse Breytenbach and Julia Rothman.
This book is very aesthetically pleasing with it’s beautiful fabric textured cover and can easily be a coffee table favorite. But don’t worry, it won’t be a dust collector book. If you have a passion and desire to learn fabric printing, this is the book for you! I promise that you will want to dissect every page along the way.
See all of the other participants in this tour here and check out author Laurie Wisbrun’s blog, Scarlet Fig.

I feel like I have hundreds of plain, boring pillowcases around the house. I found these gray cases stuffed in my husbands sock drawer…huh? Anyways, I’m loving metallics right now so I went and bought this gold metallic fabric paint at my local craft store. I took a square template and painted gold squares in a random pattern on the pillowcase. Done. Another easy DIY!!
Finding the right coffee table can be quite a challenge. Getting the right fit for your space isn’t an easy task. I always prefer larger scaled tables so that I can display more items but then again, simple, smaller tables look clean and uncluttered. Then there’s the decision on what material or wood to use. So many choices!! Here are a few tips that I always consider when looking for a coffee table.
-Decide if you want your coffee table to take main stage or be the best side kick that it can be.
-When choosing a coffee table for a small space, make sure that it’s multifunctional with a good amount of storage and room for those awesome collectables.
-Your coffee table can bring color into your space, if working with a neutral space. Consider choosing a fun, bright color.
-Natural materials can make the best table. Consider rock, wood, cork and other organic materials.
-If you’re trying to save money, consider using un-table tables like suitcases or a bench.
-Shop thrift shops, flea markets and garage sales for creative alternatives that don’t break the bank.
Whatever you decide, have fun with your coffee table decision!!

I was looking through old images on my blog and came across this winner. This is from the Brass Razoo days when the kids would work the shop with me…. and get a little restless. At least Ethan was enjoying the movie!
