When styling a kitchen, I love using unusual items to fill the space. Li2bitt is a set of salt and pepper shakers made out of concrete in the shape of city fire hydrants designed by Elda Bellone and Davide Carbone. I would love a set of these in my own kitchen!
Happy Monday folks!! If you need some inspiration to start your week off with, Llamas’ Valley released their one year anniversary issue today and it’s FANTASTIC!
With summer quickly approaching, it’s almost time to start planting. And with planting comes the perfect pots. And the perfect pots are coming from West Elm this year. Seriously, I am so impressed with their selection! I have my eye on several different styles.
Here is some major space inspiration from Åsberg Interiör & Styling.
I have become more and more of an art lover the older I get. This art print titled “Growth” by Carrie Marill, is the perfect mix of colors, textures and shapes. You can find this piece and many more ultra cool pieces at 20×200.
I am thrilled to announce that I WON the Joyus design challenge!! Thank you to everyone who voted. And thank you to my friends, family and readers who made their friends and family vote! Also to the rest of the designers who participated…. you all did amazing!
Also, Joyus will be announcing the winner of the $1500 gift card soon and very soon!! Thanks Joyus!
This last Saturday, Kristin and I hosted a meet & greet with Vanessa De Vargas. Such fun times! Annie and Brandon of Heirloom & Vine graciously let us use their fantastic studio space. Talented and creative peeps (like Jennifer and Joyce) came out for some hang out time with the beautiful Vanessa, whom I absolutely adore, BTW.

Local designers, keep your eyes and ears open for more networking possibilities!
My husband and I, mostly my husband, LOVE searching for and watching creative videos on Vimeo. It opens up the big wide world of talent and creativity for us viewers to gaze upon. I recently was introduced to Holaria, a porcelain design studio from Brazil. Above is a short film that was made about the creative process at Holaria. It’s super intriguing! So sit back, relax, and be inspired.
Shop these porcelains and more at Holaria.
I am IN LOVE with Cassie’s palette choices this week! So fresh and springy. She did a great job pairing the pastels with one or more bold colors to create a beautiful color contrast. Gorgeous!
Head over to the Veda House to see my Insider’s Tips.

How cool are these Geo side tables from Made.com?? They would look perfect on either side of a bed.
Hi peeps! It’s Sunday and I’m blogging! This never happens but is happening today. This past week has been National Painting Week. Sherwin Williams approached me about participating in National Painting Week by creating a paint project. It was perfect timing because we are getting our home ready for a photo shoot this week, so we have some serious projects!! Also, in honor of it being earth day today, I got to choose the color green! I heart green so that wasn’t a tough call.
I chose to re-claim this dresser that has been following my husband around since he was in Junior High. Can you believe that he has had it for that long?? It obviously needed alot of help.
Before we painted the dresser, we had to do some prepping. Because of how wobbly it was, Shane (my extremely cute husband) did some structural work, as well as sanding ect ect ect. He also added cute wooden legs that you will see further down this post.
Since I am a cra cra crazy fanatic for mint green right now, I chose to paint this piece using Sherwin William’s Spirited Green. I love how fresh and springy it feels!
And here it is!
We also added black stripes on the top of each drawer, giving it some more detail.
This project was simple but such a transformation. Nothing a few legs, paint and some stripes can’t fix. Thanks Sherwin Williams!
Check out the other fantastic bloggers that participated in National Painting Week.
It’s supposed to get up to 88 degrees on Sunday so I’m thinking it’s time to clean out and prepare our back patio for warm weather! I love the look of this outside living space. Comfy and pretty!
If you live in Boise and are a design enthusiast, don’t forget about the meet & greet tomorrow afternoon from 5:00pm-7:00pm with Vanessa De Vargas at Heirloom & Vine on 204 Broad Street. It’s going to be super fun! Also, the Chair Affair is happening today and tomorrow. I’ll be attending some of it. Go here for more information.
And if you think about, the Joyus design challenge is still happening so I would love your votes!
One more thing… I am posting something special on Sunday so come back and check it out!!!

Going along with this post, I put together a little video of Eden twirling the Sky Umbrella. She’s a cutie, that Eden Jo!
How serene and beautiful is this shop?! Mr Kitly is a shop and gallery space located upstairs at 381 Sydney Road in Brunswick, Melbourne. They carry a variety of design pieces and handmade pieces by local and international designers. Pure bliss.
Hey locals!! Are you attending Ignite Boise tonight? I’m super excited to be speaking on interior design, so if you’re there, don’t judge me….:)
I have a feeling that my kids and I are going to stock up on all of this colorful goodness from Todd Oldham’s Kid Made Modern collection, which is hitting Target and Target.com on May 20th. I can imagine myself using the diamond crayons in my own office displayed in bowl and the duct tape for gifts and hanging art. The best part about these products is that everything is under $20! That’s cool.
