I am a believer that ringing in the NEW YEAR should be stunning but effortless! Doing a few simple DIY’s can make a world of difference in the outcome of your party decor. All things gold are trending and these NYE party ideas are no different. First, keep the treats simple like this all white yummy cake found on Style Me Pretty. Then, glitz up a bottle of champagne for those moments just before the clock strikes midnight (image seen on Pinterest). Your pictures will be that more stunning! Lastly, string up some quick DIY garland, a quick way to glam up your living space for your guests while keeping the clean up super easy, via Etsy.

Enjoy ringing in 2014– I have no doubts it will be the best year yet!!

Merry Christmas from the Grove Family,

Shane, Ethan, Eden, and myself wish you the happiest of holidays and may this new year bring each of you absolute JOY!

I will see you all next week!

This tour is one of those you really take your time with, each room filled with its own interests and decorated beautifully to the nth degree. You will find a couple common themes throughout the whole home like vintage picked accessories and perfectly popping hues. “I love the retro glamour it conjures up,” says creator (and obvious design mastermind) Jean-Christophe Aumas who credits the beauty of these images of his Parisian home to photographer Richard Powers. Enjoy this wealth of eclectic design inspiration…

Alternative trees are a great way to get your festive juices flowing without the commitment of an actual tree. For those that travel during the holidays, or for those who don’t have the extra space for an actual tree these are perfect alternatives for your decor. I love these images because in the simplest of ways you can create the joy of Christmas time!

Lately I can’t get enough of the look and feel of exposed shower heads. The openness and simplicity of a bathroom with this style shower head always catches my eye. It gives a vintage appeal that I adore. Pair this space saver of a shower with a white backdrop and it will be timeless.

During the holidays with all sorts of cooking and baking, it is likely that you feel one of two ways about your kitchen. You are so in love with your kitchen and you could spend every moment in it…or you are bursting to get a remodel going to create an easy on the eye and of course, enjoyable kitchen. This post is for the latter and I am hopeful it will spark inspiration for you. This clean and spacious kitchen is so beautiful! Adding a rough around the edges farm table as an island in addition to a modern palette can create a pretty contrast and cozy up your kitchen. White tile backsplash, or even the whole wall like this space, is always a good idea. Create a statement in your kitchen with decor that can be changed whenever your mood pleases and keep your cupboard and countertop finishes neutral and timeless. Get this look…

Hi friends. I’m sure most of you are busy getting ready for the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is the one holiday that makes my toes tingle with excitement. It brings me back to a time when I was a kid and everything felt extremely giddy and happy. From the stack of presents under the tree, to the colorful Christmas cookies left out for Santa on Christmas eve. Now as an adult, the holidays take on a totally new meaning. It’s all about a tasteful, meaningful Christmas for me and my family. I want to be surrounded by the people that I love most and involve myself in activities and moments that mean the most to me. Basically, I want to be really warm and fuzzy! Something that makes me really warm and fuzzy…..coffee!

Today I get to offer you a chance to win my obsession….a NESPRESSO! This is the best coffee maker on the market, if you ask me. The coffee is amazing, the machine is sleek and modern and the milk frother…oh my heavens….is revolutionary. Today we are giving away the  Pixie in Aluminum and the Aerooccino milk frother (a value of $329) to one lucky winner.

Here’s how to win-

1. Like Simply Grove on Facebook. 2. Leave a simple comment below.

Giveaway ends Thursday night at midnight. Winner will be chosen at random on Friday morning, Dec 19th, at 9am eastern.

MARCH has recently launched their online shop and I just had to share some of my favorite products from them. They certainly nailed their minimalist design and have so many more amazing products on their site. They cure all your homes needs from any category including cookware, accessories, and furniture. Shown above: Michael Verheyden Potte Vase (top left), John Pawson Candle Stick Holder (top right), Michael Verheyden Serve Set – Three Stainless Steel Trays (bottom). Browse & Shop here.

I addition, I wanted to include new product coming from Swoon Edition. This week is the exciting launch of their Midcentury Collection. Many of you know I have a special place in my heart for midcentury design and these sofas and chairs are NO exception. Check out this London based furniture design company here. Shown above: The Zoe (top left), The Grace (top right), The Grace Sofa (bottom).

Anyone want to take me to this winter wonderland?? I am SO loving this home via Trendland nested on a mountainside in Sweden. Every time I look at the images I find more detail in the mixture of industrial and scandinavian coziness. The exposed fireplace gives warmth to the entire space and how perfect to have a fresh layer of snow shining bright through the floor to ceiling windows. Take an escape to this nordic space…

How amazing is this chair?? I think this Ligne Roset Ruche Armchair is so fun and looks incredibly comfortable. Available in different colors and fabrics like wool, velvet, cloth, microfiber, and leather this piece can easily make its way into any space…

Well wishes for you winter weekend! I hope it is filled with joy!
