One of my favorite items in Eden Jo’s room is this print from photos.com. Traditional buildings in Paris get me every time! Art has such a big impact on a space, even in kids spaces. Today photos.com is giving away a $300 gift card for you to choose your own print for your home! All you need to do is jump over to my Instagram page, follow @simplygrove and @photos_dot_com, leave a simple message on the Instagram post and you will be entered to win! Good Luck!!!!
Next up on the renovation list is Eden Jo’s bedroom. I had so much fun with this room! I think besides kitchens, little girls bedrooms are my favorite spaces to decorate. You can go super whimsical and not feel like you’ve gone overboard. I want her to have a room that she can easily grow up in but still love it at 10 years of age.

If you missed it, we finally posted our first renovation webisode yesterday! As I promised, I am going to go through each finished room to give you the list of sources. Let’s start with the living room.
This room is in the middle of the home. It’s the first space that you see when you walk in. I wanted it to be bright and modern. As far as renovation goes, all this room needed was a fresh coat of white paint on the walls and fireplace and the removal of some major popcorn ceiling. We also removed the old drapery and removed the crystal chandeliers. The floor is in great condition, so thankfully nothing needs to be done to them. For the styling of the room, I chose vintage pieces of furniture and mixed them in with newer, modern pieces. I also mixed old art with new art. I will continue to add art to the main wall and of course I will keep adding plants, because why wouldn’t you??!

Well, here it is folks! Our first renovation webisode! When we originally bought this home, we knew that we wanted to create a forever home for ourselves. It’s not a flip and it’s not a temporary space for us. It really is and has become the home of our dreams. In this first webisode, we give a tour of the home before the renovation, and a tour of 5 of the completed rooms. We still have the kitchen, bathrooms, family room, man cave and exterior to finish, which will all be documented at a later time.
Also, I will be posting photos of each of the renovated rooms over the next few days.
A huge thank you to Dan Dunson of Blue Chip Media! You have video needs? He’s the man.
