My Dining Room Makeover

Simply Grove Kitchen Renovation

Along with my kitchen renovation, we made some changes in the dining room. Because the two rooms are connected, I wanted them to flow well with each other. Below is the before.

The biggest changes in the dining room include the black floor, pendant light and dining chairs. The black floor flowed in from the kitchen, so that was an easy switch. I found the 4 beautiful, upholstered chairs at a local shop that was owned by my blogger friend, Shannon of Coffee Paint Repeat. In fact, I’m on the lookout for two more!

You can see from the above image that the Harvest Fireclay Tile in the kitchen really does flow into the dining space. So when I laid eyes on the Pembridge Pendant Light from Original BTC, I knew it was a match made in heaven. The circular details literally mimic the tile, but in a non “matchy” way.

What makes this light so unique is that it’s made up of overlapping tiers of fine bone china. At night the tiers light up in such a way that they make the most beautiful glow.

My favorite angle of this room is when I’m in my family room looking into the dining room and how it flows into the kitchen. Again, all of the circular choices partner from one to another.

I have always wanted that one statement piece that sets my dining space apart. The Original BTC light gave this room that special something that can’t be bought at a box store. I always say that you should find that one piece that makes your space unique and magical. This light created just that for me!

  1. I loved the plain white walls with a plant beside (is that artificial? :D). It feels so comforting to live in home with. I never went with fancy designed walls with different color combinations. That looks unique but doesn’t look good to me.
