Just checking in from LA. It’s been a bussssssy week but always incredibly fun. Above are a few instagrams from my shopping travels. A few stores that i visited with my clients are Modernica, A+R and Evolution. All gave some major inspiring moments and winning pieces.

These Wästberg lights are colorful, modern and super sleek. I can see them in pretty much any room, creating a big statement.

Hi friends!! I hope that you had a fun and festive Easter! Luckily we had gorgeous weather this weekend which made for a lovely weekend. I’m in California this week, working on a new design project. If all goes accordingly, it’s going to be a fantastic space! So if I’m a little sporadic on the blog, it’s not because I’m sleeping all day and drinking margaritas.
Talk soon!! xxoo

Happy Friday! I hope that your week has been successful. My husbands Grandmother died this last week so we spent time honoring her life and being with family. Life is short and it’s so important to invest in relationships. I feel like the older I get, the more sentimental I become. I don’t think that’s a bad thing, right?? Anyways, next week is going to be extraordinary, I feel it!
Also, thank you so much for helping me with the fabric decision! It’s made things a little easier. I will be posting which fabric I chose in the next few weeks!! Some of you were concerned about not having an outdoor fabric since it will be getting dirty. The great thing about Spoonflower is that the patterns come in a variety of fabrics. If a durable fabric is not available, a great solution is covering it with a clear vinyl to make wiping easy. Or there’s always my best friend, scotch guard.
See you next week!

So I have this bench that I re-upholstered quite a few years ago. I chose a black and white stripe because I figured that it would be a timeless option that I wouldn’t get quickly tired of. I was mostly right but now, I’m tired of it. Not only that but it’s filthy dirty! The kids use for most every meal time so it’s had its fair share of spills. I’ve been looking on Spoonflower for fabric options and I’ve narrowed it down to these 6 fabrics. Could you help a sister out and tell me which fabric that you favor?? I would love a little help and you all are the perfect peeps to ask. Just leave a comment below telling me your pick! xxoo

Recently I’ve been wanting some change in my house. Specifically in my living room. I sold both of my sofa’s earlier this month and now all we have to sit on is a few chairs and the kids mini Ikea sofa. It’s not the comfiest of rooms so my husband is putting the pressure on me to buy a new sofa. With the sofa, I’ve decided to change up a few other details, including coffee table, area rug, lighting and other accessories. Shane’s only request is that we save up for an Eames lounge chair. He has wanted one since we were newlyweds so I guess I could squeeze it in the plan…;) Here is a rough draft of what I’m thinking. And can we talk about that sofa?? God bless the Luna Sofa.

I am working on a new project with dream, and I mean heaven sent dream, clients! Above is a snapshot of their living room. Now, this room is before hiring me so right away it’s evident that they have fantastic taste. Really I’m offering moral support and standing ovations when they continue to create an amazing space for their adorable family. I can’t wait to share images in the next few month of this 2 thumbs up project.

Every time that I lay my eyes on The Apartment, I get major goosebumps. The Apartment is a liaison of 20th century furniture, contemporary art and design, showcased in the elegant setting of an 18th century apartment in Christianshavn, in the heart of Copenhagen, which was restored by founders Tina Seidenfaden Busck and Pernille Hornhaver. Well friends, I’m 32 years old today. I can’t believe how quickly times moves on, even if we don’t feel ready. Things like being a mom and a wife still put me in shock. How can I be old enough for either??!! Oh, but I am!
I LOVE my life and I LOVE my family which makes me one thankful birthday girl!!

I’ve been bedridden for the past 6 days with a horrible flu. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a fever for 5 straight days! It’s always a bummer to be sick as a mom. My husband has done a fantastic job keeping life going but still as a mom, you want to make sure everything is going how you think it should go, right?? Anyways, it’s nice to feel human again. I’m not even going to look at my to-do list or might vomit.
Speaking of bedridden, the bedroom shown above would be a perfect space to escape the world. It seems bright, relaxing and of course stylish. I’m all for a good napping bed.

I am totally smitten with this home, photographed by Toby Scott for Est Magazine. It has such a great mix of colors and neutrals. I would love to know where the art is from. GORGEOUS!

In honor of St. Patricks day, I thought a collection of yummy green images would be the perfect Thursday post. Personally, I’m a huge fan of green and could put a little green in every room of my house, not to mention wear green everyday. So cheers to green and cheers to Mr. Saint Patty!
