Plans For My Dining Room

Let me start by saying that I love my dining room! It’s always been one of my favorite spaces in our house. It has two skylights that bring in tons of sun. As far as the furniture goes, I used pieces that I had in our previous home and included a few newer pieces. To be honest, I have always wanted an art deco/ mid-century inspired dining space, so it’s no surprise that when I look at my dining room Pinterest page, it’s a majority of mid-century and art deco. After I realized what I really wanted, I started planning a quick makeover.

It’s going to be 99 degrees on the 4th, so we will be spending a lot of time indoors. Spending time indoors doesn’t mean that I want to lose the outdoor vibe. In fact, I want to decorate while being inspired by warm weather, great friends and lots of sunshine. So I am creating a dining room that’s not only full on style but the perfect entertaining space for the 4th! I turned to, which has exactly what I need to get ready for Independence Day entertaining at really affordable prices. I am not only updating a few key furniture pieces, but also dishware and glassware, which can change the vibe of a space really quickly. I’m not showing you the reveal quite yet, BUT I will show you a preview of what I chose for this makeover. Next week you’ll get to see the full reveal, and I think you’re going to like it.
