Next up on the renovation list is Eden Jo’s bedroom. I had so much fun with this room! I think besides kitchens, little girls bedrooms are my favorite spaces to decorate. You can go super whimsical and not feel like you’ve gone overboard. I want her to have a room that she can easily grow up in but still love it at 10 years of age.

We have a plethora of throw blanket options at my house. Furry blankets, soft blankets, little blankets…many blankets. My most recent blanket to join this massive collection is this gorgeous Happy Habitat blanket by Karrie Kaneda. It is my all time favorite! The quality is undeniable. It’s the perfect snuggle blanket yet still looks beyond stylish.

Shop Happy Habitat here.

I put some birds on my walls the other day. While shopping at one of my local antique shops, I found these cute bird prints that were originally a calendar. I attached them to the wall with a simple strip of washi tape. It was an easy way to add some great art!

Most everything on the buffet is thrifted. The small vase is Ferm Living and tall glass vase is Serena and Lily.

Fall is here and cold weather is upon us. Well, most of us anyways. In my home, I don’t necessarily decorate with autumn tones, like red, burnt orange and brown. Instead, I focus on textures (fur, cable knit, wool) and dark tones (gray, black, chocolate brown) in my accessories  to create a fun, moody space. Today, on the AvalonBay Communities blog, I am sharing how to add those warm textures to your space to keep you and your family feeling toasty warm, whether physically or just emotionally.

First off, adding sheepskin rugs not only adds coziness, but a stylish look to any space. In the image above, you can see that in my previous home, I used a small sheepskin rug to warm up a normally chilly leather chair. Adding sheepskin rugs to dining chairs is another great use for these trendy accessories.

Read on for the remaining tips on the AvalonBay Communities blog. See you over there!
