I told you a few weeks ago that I recently got a FLOR carpet for my living room. I have to say that it’s been my favorite rug that I’ve owned thus far. Mostly because it’s an actual carpet so the durability is crazy good! I chose the Vintage Vibe pattern. The pattern doesn’t feel overwhelming in this space and the gray is perfectly neutral for my taste. I’m in the process of finishing this room for some future photo shoots so I can’t show you the entire space, but when I can show you, you’ll see that the size is perfect for this room. It’s large enough to place most of my furniture on the rug.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that Eden graduated from Kindergarten. I couldn’t be more proud of my little girl. To celebrate this moment, I threw a little party for our family of four to honor Eden Jo. And just in the nick of time because Martha Stewart recently launched MarthaCelebrations at JCPenney. I used the sterling collection and mixed it with natural elements in the branches. Eden has a lot of sparkle and hippy in her, so I thought this collaboration worked for her.

MarthaCelebration truly has every party need already figured out. You’ll find the colors you need in every party accessorie that you can think of. I’m convinced that I should throw a party a week just to use all of these fun products!

Recently I was hired by founder and graphic designer for Promise Tangeman Creative and Sitehouse, Promise Tangeman (seen above with me, walking the streets of LA). She, along with her hubby, Brian Wurzell, are in the process of building a home. Promise, a graphic phenomenon, naturally wants to implement a lot of graphic and architectural elements. Her vision for her home goes far beyond the furniture and accessories, and I highly appreciate her for this. It’s going to stretch me as a designer which excites me! Below is a sample of inspiration that we have gathered for her home. Each piece of the puzzle gets pinned on a Pinterest private board for Promise and I to discuss details back and forth. It’s a designers dream to have this source to use with our clients.

Recently Jocey from Wedding Chicks hired me to re-style her bedroom. We chose to complete this project through e-decorating. She is a blast of a person, so working with her on this project was super fun. She’s not afraid of color or patterns so we incorporated alot of both. Now for this e-design project, we worked mostly online with the exception of a couple visits to her home (we live in the same city). Most of the collaborating happened through our Pinterest board that we created and through emails sent back and forth. The beauty of e-decorating (online decorating) is that it’s affordable, hassle free and it’s an accessible way to hire a designer without signing your life away. Which is why I’m thrilled to offer it to all of you!

Several of you have inquired about my desk in my office space. Well pleasantly enough, my husband built it. It’s hands down my favorite piece in this space. And I think it goes so well with my other pieces, including the bookcase and filing cabinet from Hayneedle, which you can read more about here.

If you are wanting a custom piece similar to this desk or if you have any other wood furniture needs, my father in law is a incredible woodworker (which is where my husband gets it) and can create almost anything. I wanted to show you another image from a project that I did in Seattle. I took this pic on my phone so it’s not the greatest.  My clients wanted a modern living space that was comfortable and durable for their kids. We chose neutral colors with pops of bright colors throughout. The Souk rug from West Elm makes every space feel comfortable. And the Fargo sofa from Bo Concept is always an instant success! Their view is unbelievable, so designing their condo was that much more fun!

Last week my office was featured on Rue Daily. I wanted to show you some of the images that weren’t included in the feature. Once again, Sara K Byrne’s did an awesome job!

Several of you have inquired about the rugs in my bedroom seen in the latest Rue issue.
