If you are in the need of some serious shelving and you have a good budget to work with, may I suggest the 606 Shelving System by Dieter Rams. This system is a modular system composed of various upright elements to be customized with hanging flat or inclined shelves, garment rods under shelves, 2 or 3 drawer units, cabinets with flap down or retractable doors creates and internal movable shelves. A floating desk is also available.

Happy Monday! I woke up with a massive summer and sun hangover. To try and regain some inspiration, I went on Pinterest and found this beauty of an office. I’m loving the deep gray color. It creates such a moody, stylish space. See more of this space here.
If you are needing more interior inspiration, jump on over to BHG Style Spotters where I posted about the classic red, white and blue palette.
Several of you have inquired about my desk in my office space. Well pleasantly enough, my husband built it. It’s hands down my favorite piece in this space. And I think it goes so well with my other pieces, including the bookcase and filing cabinet from Hayneedle, which you can read more about here.
If you are wanting a custom piece similar to this desk or if you have any other wood furniture needs, my father in law is a incredible woodworker (which is where my husband gets it) and can create almost anything. So local peeps, take advantage of this. And non-local peeps, he ships! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested.

Last week I was honored to be included in the latest issue of Rue. Today Rue Daily takes a peak into my office space. These photos were also taken by Sara K Byrnes Photography. You can see the entire article here. Thank you Rue!
Blik seems to be on a roll lately with new and innovative products. Introducing Surface Skins, a brand new line of super durable, self-adhesive art that allows you to personalize just about any large surface in your home or office quickly and easily. Use them to cover desks, tables or cabinets. I literally just gave away a dresser that could have used a surface skin to modernize it. I’m kicking myself. At least we now have options on how to redo those large pieces that we are bored with. Thanks Blik!
Blik is collaborating with several current artists to bring you new designs created for the Surface Skins line.

These spaces, designed by Mim Design, are delightfully cool. I’m loving the color that’s weaved into each space. And that kitchen!!!

I’m always on the hunt for the perfect desk that is unique in it’s style and offers great storage. This Babylon Tower Desk designed by Swedish designers Kristian Andréason and Kristin Leibel is super cool with it’s ombre affect and random wood arrangement. A cool feature with this desk is that it collapses into a very flat pack. Love that!

I am a MAJOR music lover. I listen to music 80% of the day. You will find many genres being played in our house and of course thousands of dance parties have been performed. This is why I’m freaking out over the Stellé Audio Pillar. I’ve had similar other products sent to me that were just so so. When I first tested the Pillar out, I couldn’t believe the sound that came from this sleek piece. It’s crazy! My house is around 2200 sq ft with an upstairs loft. When I turn the pillar on, music can be heard everywhere! I also love the look of the Pillar. It’s clean and modern. I’ve placed it all over my house and it fits right in with the aesthetic of each room.
I know that I sound like an infomercial right now but come on, when you find a product that you love, you are willing to shout it from the roof tops!!
Tonight, April 9th at 8pm EST, you can find me chatting with the amazing people of Stellé Audio Couture. Just search under #StelleChat. @StellePRgirl will be interviewing me. Hope to see you on twitter!!
On a side note- I wanted to thank DailyBuzz Moms for featuring Simply Grove last Friday! I really appreciate it.

Recently I joined forces with Hayneedle.com to do a little update on my office. I’m excited to say that it’s finally completed! You can see more and read more here.
When I started re-doing my office, I had a plan of action for my baroque mirror. I almost gave it away, just because I’m a little over this trend. But after seeing Martha Stewart’s new project paints, I knew that this mirror needed a little copper pick me up. I used the metallic glaze in copper penny and I love the result! It’s super pretty yet a little edgy and it fits in with my office design perfectly! I’m also a huge fan of Martha Stewart Project Paints. They come in 10 oz. jars, which is great because you’re not waisting a bunch of paint. You can choose between crackle, glitter, metallic glaze, metallic, textured metallic and terra cotta and they all come in a variety of colors. I’m pretty sure that I need to try glitter next!
So if you have a mirror or a frame that needs a little re-do, try this! You’ll love it.

My husband calls me a pillow hoarder. I like to think of it as a friendly passion. To my defense, a great pillow can change the look of a piece of furniture and even the look of a room. My newest pillow comes from Dragon 88. The Biosphere Digital Print Pillow makes a very graphic statement. I love the red and pink hues! It looks great against almost any neutral backdrop and can be paired with lots of colors. The price point is a little higher but remember, you pay for what you get. Filled with down feathers, this pillow is going to last and last.

In the latest Rue Magazine, you will find a beautiful space, designed by my great friend, Caitlin Flemming. She did a FANTASTIC job on this condo project. I’m seriously addicted to the desk image. It’s the perfect mix of modern and character. Amazing job Caitlin!!

I wanted to share a sneak peek of my office that I’ve been re-doing for the past few days. It’s coming together nicely! I still have alot to do including styling, potting, organizing ect ect ect. I found some great decor objects yesterday while thrifting, including that awesome gold plated boat and the woven tray. The light on the desk is one of my husbands creations. I love the industrial look and I love the fact that there is no cord hanging off the desk.
Happy Monday friends! I hope that you are having a successful Monday.
I’m in the process of doing an office overhaul, complete with new storage and furniture pieces. The picture above is a great example of creating a clean small space to work out of.
