Today marks 8 days in our new house. If you’re following me on Instagram or Snap Chat, you’ll see that we’re moving fast on the Simply Grove renovation. We’ve got a tight timeframe that we are trying to stick to. One of the rooms that we set up quickly was the living room. We needed one room to lounge in, especially because the rest of the home is in disarray. Thanks to PlushRugs, my living room feels completely cozy and comfortable. Because I can’t, and don’t want to show you full pictures of the home, I at least wanted to show you snippets of this May-6 rug from the Maya Collection from PlushRugs. It’s my new favorite! It’s a modern interpretation of the classic Morocan Berber carpets. I am an advocate for rugs. They can change a space from drab to awesome! This specific rug took our living room and modernized it but didn’t take away from comfort.
PlushRugs has branched out from only having rugs and has recently launched HedgeApple, a great source for furniture and home decor.
I am totally on board with these New Moon Rugs. Southwestern style, pops of color, and unique patterns is what the Mesa Collection is all about. If your floor is wanting a new addition to ring in the new year don’t hesitate to browse this stunning collection!

I couldn’t be happier that sheep skin rugs are an absolute must right now! Such perfect timing as my home will need to get a lot cozier for the winter. Whether you prefer the read deal or would rather style faux animal accents in your home, they are both unbelievably comfortable and stylish. Place a sheepskin on your sofa for extra protection or lay one over your favorite chair for added comfort and texture. Your toes will love if you place one under your desk. These office spaces are all 3 very different but I would take all 3 of them in a second. I can’t get enough of the rug in this office space, above. It seems like such a cozy, stylish space, complete with a gorgeous desk.
I wouldn’t mind looking at a wall full of pretty art and photography. Especially if you didn’t have large windows to look out at.
This small space is an eclectic mix of loveliness. And that green can stay around for awhile!

I told you a few weeks ago that I recently got a FLOR carpet for my living room. I have to say that it’s been my favorite rug that I’ve owned thus far. Mostly because it’s an actual carpet so the durability is crazy good! I chose the Vintage Vibe pattern. The pattern doesn’t feel overwhelming in this space and the gray is perfectly neutral for my taste. I’m in the process of finishing this room for some future photo shoots so I can’t show you the entire space, but when I can show you, you’ll see that the size is perfect for this room. It’s large enough to place most of my furniture on the rug.

Other items in Living Room to note- Luna Sofa, Eames Plywood Coffee Table (bought here), Diamond Pillow, Wimbledon Gray Chair, Ferm Living Bowl and California Homes book.
I was just introduced to one of my new favorite online shops, Project Bly. Project Bly is a website that lets you explore and shop the streets of cities around the world. They source directly from vendors in bazaars, and bring alive the streets and markets of a city through photography and story. They are currently featuring La Paz, Bolivia Their lookbook was shot and styled by the very talented Kelly Ishikawa and Rod Hipskind, who both did my house for Anthology Magazine.
Above are some of my favorite items. 1,2,3,4,5,6. Shop more here.
Several of you have inquired about the rugs in my bedroom seen in the latest Rue issue. Both the rug on the floor and the rug hanging on the wall are from Novica. Novica gives artists and artisans around the world a global platform to express their true artistic talents and to spur their creativity. They want to provide you with access to unique, hard-to-find items at great values. These rugs were a steal! A steal, friends!
How cute is my husband?? I heart him.
Go here to see their entire rug collection. Also, they have a great selection of cooking gifts that I am digging for my own kitchen.
Today you can find me over at Euro Style Lighting, giving some tips on how to pick the perfect modern coffee table. Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day did a pretty great job at just that! See the post here.
AND I blogged my favorite color palette (which includes this gorgeous rug) over on BHG Style Spotters. Check it out here.
Rugs can change the entire look of a room. They bring warmth, character and life to any space. Rugs can also be the most challenging detail to find for a space. It’s either a struggle to find the perfect size or the perfect price, not to mention the perfect material. Below are a few awesome spaces with awesome rugs to match. If you love, I’ve given you similar options, whether in color or pattern, for your own space.
