It’s been a bit since I’ve blogged, but I’m back! Blame it on a crazy spring. In fact, it’s been so crazy that I forgot to announce that I’ve started a full design firm along side two other designers. More on that to come. This specific post is all about tile and stone inspiration and upcoming trends in the industry. Last month I attended Coverings 2019 in Orlando, Florida. I saw first hand all of the tile trends that are coming our way, or that have already started trickling in. There are a few looks that immediately received an A++, including porcelain and terrazzo. I mean, can you go wrong with either of these materials? I don’t think so.
Because Coverings is a global show, there are tile & stone manufacturers exhibiting from around the world. At Coverings 2019, attendees viewed the latest products, trends, and tools from 1,100+ of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers. The show is broken up into three main areas: Ceramics of Italy, Tile Council of North America (TCNA), and Tile of Spain. Each of those pavilions have hundreds of exhibitors displaying tile and stone. Coverings featured new trends, textures, shapes and alternative uses of tile and stone.
As you can see, Coverings was a GOLD MINE! So much beauty in one space. Thank you Sharp Communications for inviting me. It was a fantastic trip with fantastic people!
