Since moving into our home 3 years ago, I haven’t been in love with my family room. The furniture never fit right, the colors felt off, etc etc. I decided to take things slow and build my dream space. There’s still a few things to switch out (I want a round, curvy coffee table) but none the less, here’s my newly styled family room!! I finally love the colors, the textures, all of it! It feels the most like us.
One piece that I am so impressed with is the Adrian Pearsall sectional that I had reupholstered from Guate Upholstery here in Boise. It’s my favorite sofa that I’ve ever owned! The size and shape are both unique and super live able.
Let me back up and chat about that light. Blueprint Lighting has continually blown my mind. I’ve seen their pieces in published projects and I’ve always been a huge fan. So to have the Counterbalance chandelier in my house feels like a dream. It’s the glue to this whole room.
Another huge part to this whole room makeover is my new Ivory rug from Well Woven. I really liked the pattern online, but I love it even more in person! It’s perfectly neutral and does not take away from the rest of the pieces. Also, the size is on point! I chose the 9’2″x12’6.
Back to the sofa. When I first got it, the wood was totally faded and warped. The owners of Boise Vintage were able to bring it back to it’s former glory. If I had only reupholstered it, it wouldn’t have looked right. I’m so glad I invested in the wood too!
One piece that I am still on the hunt for is a new coffee table. Until then, this mid century inspired bench totally works! And it adds extra seating for when large groups are over. Also, that plastered 1980’s inspired floor lamp was a Boise Vintage find a few years ago. I am SO happy that I held on to it.
My most recent Boise Vintage find are these two pink leather slouchy swivel chairs. I mean, you can’t get better than slouchy pink leather!
I’ll be back to chat more about the Blueprint Lighting chandelier and how I was able to customize it to my space!
