The holidays are officially upon us! Can you believe it?? I kind of feel like they snuck up on me this time but, then again, I tend to feel like that almost every year. With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching, you may be making a mad dash to pick up last-minute items for the table or agonizing over which dishes to use. But fear not, I’ve gathered some quick and simple ideas to dress up your table that don’t require lots of expensive florals or fancy plates and flatware. And these tips are super versatile, so they can easily transition from Thanksgiving right into Christmas.

Looking for a unique, yet affordable, way to personalize your place settings? Try out this genius idea of using kraft paper and a white paint marker. The only skill required is a little bit of calligraphy work. You can do it!

If you’re lucky enough to own a beautiful rustic table, I say skip a runner altogether and opt for simple greenery, such as eucalyptus, and white pillar candles instead. A small succulent on every plate adds a nice little addition of color.

There’s really no need to get fussy when it comes to place cards for your guests. A couple of striped feathers and a sprig of greenery (even rosemary will do) looks perfectly elegant when paired with a simple written name tag.

It’s never a mistake to bring a little of the outside in. These tree stump chargers are so lovely and interesting that your guests will be talking about the table more than the food. Arrange some fir branches and small pinecones down the center of the table and it’s a guaranteed win.
