I came to the realization years ago that my daughter could care less about interior design. She would be happy sleeping on a cot in a bright orange and purple bedroom. Like, for reals. But does that stop me from decorating her bedroom? Heck no! I will be decorating her life for the rest of her life! We are heading towards her 13th birthday, so I wanted to give her bedroom a fresh, mature look.
I started with upgrading her bedding to MagicLinen. I’m obsessed with linen bedding, so choosing linen for her bed was an easy choice. Did you know that linen is a natural antiseptic and kills fungus and bacteria? And linen only gets better with time. It’s the greatest investment for your bedroom. I’m telling you, linen is the BEST! MagicLinen is a small family business based in Lithuania, Europe. They produce handmade linen home textiles and clothing from European high-quality OEKO-Tex certified linen and ship them worldwide. Every MagicLinen product is handmade and organic.
I chose the Ruffle Trim Linen Duvet Cover in Woodrose. I love the dusty rose color paired with her existing Walls Need Love wallpaper. For her sheets, I chose the Charcoal Gray Linen sheet set. I normally love white sheets, but teenagers are dirty and messy, so dark sounded easier to maintain.
I also got her the Mermaid Ruffle Linen Pillowcases. I think they are the CUTEST pillowcases! They are the perfect mix of bohemian and fun.
After I received the new bedding, I decided to upgrade a few other things in her bedroom. I scored a new vintage desk from a local shop, Boise Vintage. I also traded her old desk chair with this Article Svelti chair in aloe green. The wallpaper was already installed, which I plan on keeping for a long time.
The other big change was switching out her bed. I chose the Novogratz Marion Canopy Bed Frame in black. I LOVE this bed! I have considered for our bedroom too. And the price is unbeatable! Even with such a low price, the quality is fantastic. I highly recommend it.
Over the bed I displayed this large print form Juniper Print Shop. It’s by artist Amy Bramante. It fits perfectly between the posts!
One fun detail in her room to highlight is her small globe collection. Every time I travel somewhere new, or when we travel together, I bring her home a small snow globe from that location. She’s up to 34 globes. It’s been a fun little tradition.
Also, that gorgeous calendar is from Fearless Co.
Thank you MagicLinen for the gorgeous bedding! And for giving me an excuse to give Eden’s bedroom a makeover!
