If you follow this blog and you’ve followed our renovation journey, you probably noticed that we took a little break from projects. My husband and I needed a breather to get refocused and ready for some spring projects coming our way. Well, to get our feet wet once again, we took on a small but impactful project in our master bedroom.
Have you ever seen something that took your breathe away and you knew that you HAD to have it in your own home?? Well, meet this dreamy wallpaper from Photowall that has completed our bedroom! Photowall has just launched a unique wallpaper collection with Swedish artist and fashion designer Martin Bergström. The wallpaper collection, Flora Hysterica, consists of five patterns that Martin made out of dried 19th century flowers. I chose one that has deep green tones, which I always find myself attracted to.
I like keeping my home looking clean and minimal, but I also love adding contrast and drama. When I first saw this wallpaper, I could immediately imagine it behind our bed, acting as a large piece of art, or an extension of our headboard. The mural reminds me of something that you would see while visiting an art gallery in Paris or Milan. It’s simply beautiful!
It was a super easy process hanging the wallpaper. Photowall included a glue packet, which intimidated me at first, but then proved to be easier than even adhesive wallpaper. Not even joking. All in all it took us 3 hours from start to finish. Which, for something with this much impact, that’s nothing!
I mean, look at those colors!! You can pair so many color options with this design. As well as the other four designs that Martin Bergström designed.
Below is a beautiful video that illustrates Martin’s inspiration for this collection.
