Take A Look…Shannon’s Home.

Come take a tour of Shannon’s home with me!  Isn’t it striking??

Shannon’s home was built in the 1920’s.  Her husband and her (along with an architect) did some renovations in 2008.  It was not a total gut job and they still have original plaster walls, and more importantly, original trim.

They had a designer help them select the major furniture and art in the house.  Shannon worked 13/14 hour days and was pregnant so she needed all the help that she could get.  The designer would scour the city and send pictures of furniture pieces to Shannon’s inbox.

Shannon’s favorite place to shop is craigslist.  Some of her recent craigslist finds are the two chairs flanking the sideboard, the pony hair stool with the stack of books in living room (by the window), the orange chair in the bedroom, and the little fiberglass tulip-ish chair in the guest room corner.
Her favorite place for home accessories is Goodwill and Etsy.  Shannon loves vintage!!  Her favorite place for art is artinteriors.ca and Etsy.

A couple of upcoming projects is adding floating shelves on each side of the fireplace and painting the inside of the fireplace and its tile with black BBQ paint.  Shannon says that every room is a work in progress.  The progress looks amazing to me!

Simply fantastic!

The wall colour is Silver Fox, by Para Pant P2238-4
The trim is Whitehall by Para paint (not sure of code)

The walls in the kitchen, living and dining room are ‘half strength’ and the bedrooms and foyer are full.

    Thanks again!
